The Latin American Mission Program (LAMP) is hosting a topical workshop entitled “Examining Democracy and the Growth of Populism: a challenge in Latin America and in Canada”. It will be held on Sunday, May 4, 2025, 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM at Rotary Auditorium, Charlottetown Library. The workshop will identify: the qualities of a democratic society; how it can be undermined by various threats, one of which is populism; and how residents can be guardians of the growth of democracy.
