The Catholic Women’s League of Canada is a national organization rooted in gospel values calling its members to holiness through service to the people of God (Constitution & Bylaws 2006).
All women in our parish are invited to become members or our council. We meet the 2nd Monday of each month from September until June. We gather at 9:45 am in the Jack Blanchard Family Centre, 2nd Floor for a spiritual program followed by a business meeting and a social time. Our meeting is usually over by 11:30am. We have a Christmas party in December and an end of the year party in June when many of our older members come out to join in the festivities.
Membership dues are $32 which includes a subscription to a CWL magazine. We hold one major fundraiser each year which enables us to financially support local and national organizations.
When members pass away, we honour our sisters by holding a prayer service at the funeral home and present the families with a Mass card.
